‘The System of the House: Building Houses, Demolishing Houses’ is a research-creation platform developed as part of the Climate Citizens 3.5 project, supported by the Arts Council Korea. The platform explores the material networks linked to modern lifestyles and fosters communication and exchange through various media. Everyday materials and objects—such as concrete that forms the house’s structure, plastic kitchen utensils, and computers that have become part of the human body and space—create a vast world of objects. These materials, through their extraction, production, distribution, and disposal, have shaped modern life and contributed to current climate change. This is the essence of "The System of the House." It highlights the need for changes in human living and working habits, as well as in the production and consumption of objects, in response to the climate crisis.

Some of ‘the System of the House’ content was realized through the collaboration with the Seoul Museum of Art in the exhibition “Climate Museum: The Life of Our Home”, held from June 8 to August 8, 2021, at the Seosomun Main Building. The platform is designed for long-term development and content accumulation, building collaborative relationships with domestic and international researchers and creators engaged in similar activities, unrestricted by specific professional domains. It aims to establish broad networks of solidarity within the interconnected world of objects and the oikos (household), which is now facing cris
