The National Museum of Korean Literature, scheduled to open in 2025, launched the pilot project The Writer's Study in 2022 to explore the development of literary archive projects and establish foundational resources for future content planning. This project aims to digitally archive writers' study spaces, preserving their original forms and expanding them into various content formats. Tech Capsule carried out the digital archival work of the study belonging to the late author Choi In-hoon, who passed away in 2018, through 3D scanning and modeling. The study was then recreated in VR and uploaded to an online platform. Choi In-hoon's study, recognized as both his workspace and a source of inspiration, was of great importance to his family, who were committed to preserving its original form. This archival project set a precedent for evaluating the authenticity of such spaces and determining the scope of their digital documentation. The entire process was also documented in a documentary film.
