테크캡슐은 2023 서울도시건축비엔날레에서 한옥 파빌리온 ‘짓다’의 영상을 제작했다.

파빌리온 ‘짓다’는 한옥 이전의 집, 또는 의식 깊이 잠겨 있는 집의 원형에 대한 우리의 감각과 기억을 소환하는 공간장치이다. 가운데 마당을 중심으로 해와 바람을 들이고, 거친 자연과 불안정한 외부 환경으로부터 안으로 삶을 감싸고 보호하는 안온한 공간을 만들었다.
초입의 대나무 숲을 지나며 마음의 준비를 하고 파빌리온 '짓다'로 들어가면, 숲과 같은 고요한 공간에 둥그렇게 열린 하늘 아래 구들이 깔린 동그란 마당이 펼쳐진다. 낮에는 둥그런 지붕 그림자가 해시계처럼 움직이고, 밤이면 어둠 속에서 불을 밝히는 연등처럼 교교한 가운데 동그란 하늘 속 달이 떠오른다.

The pavilion JITDA is a spatial device that evokes our senses and memories of homes that predate the Hanok era, or the archetypal dwelling deeply embedded in our consciousness. Centered around an open courtyard, it welcomes sunlight and wind, creating a calm, nurturing space that gently embraces life and protects it from the harshness of nature and the unstable external world.
As visitors pass through a bamboo grove at the entrance, they pause to attune their minds before stepping into JITDA. Inside, a serene, forest-like space unfolds, revealing a round courtyard beneath an open sky, fitted with gudeul, Korea’s traditional underfloor heating system. By day, the curved roof casts moving shadows like a sundial; by night, the pavilion glows softly like a lantern, as the moon rises into the round sky above.
