Saemal District in Geumchon 3-dong, Paju, is a village located north of Geumchon Station that is soon to disappear due to a residential redevelopment project. To preserve its memory, various methods have been used to document the area. Using the collected data, a model of the Saemal District was created.

A detailed survey of the region was conducted by gathering information on the area’s topography, buildings, vegetation, and other physical environmental features. Three-dimensional spatial data of Saemal District was acquired through drone mapping and ground-based 3D scanning. This data was then processed and used to create a highly detailed model through color 3D printing.

This regional survey and 3D spatial data hold significant value as archival records. Additionally, a reconstructed video vividly showcases various aspects of Saemal District, from panoramic views of the area to intricate details of individual spaces, preserving the memories of the community that once lived there.
